About Scott Welding
Scott Welding is large enough to deal with your requirements, small enough to care.
The story of Scott Welding starts with its founder, Gary Scott, at the age of 16. His parents were pioneers of the salmon farming industry in Shetland and led the way for the aquaculture business that now thrives on these islands.
After spending his first few years learning the ropes of fish husbandry Gary shifted his attention to the engineering workshop where it soon became clear that he had an interest in welding and fabrication.
Gary formed Scott Welding & Fabrication in June 2006 and quickly became known on the mainland for his fabrication skills for bespoke items. With the family history in aquaculture, the company soon picked up contracts with leading aquaculture companies such as Marine Harvest, AKVA Group, Sterner AquaTech, Cooke Aquaculture Scotland and Grieg Seafood Shetland.
The new workshop building was years in the planning and opened in 2014 as a Limited Company, to provide a large workspace that can house multiple projects as well as larger fabrications. The workshop is fully equipped with professional, up-to-date welding equipment and engineering machinery.
With a positive attitude, quality of service and customer satisfaction, Scott Welding and Fabrication have prospered and grown into a quality driven company.
